ICYMI: Album Stream: Ciara - "Jackie"

  • Posted on Monday, May 4, 2015
After Ciara released her hit single "I Bet", followed by it's equally beautiful video [Watch: here], I was more than ready for the release of her sixth studio album, her first since the birth of her child. "Jackie" is named after Ciara's mother because, being a new mom herself, she finally "gets it". I'm here for it! Ciara has also embarked on The "Jackie" Tour [Get Tour stops: here], which kicked off last night in Chicago. Keeping with the tradition of sixes, this is her first tour in six years set in support of her sixth studio release. Hopefully, six is a lucky number for her and her album and ticket sales are fruitful and multiply.

ICYMI: [WATCH]: Ciara - "I Bet" Video

  • Posted on Wednesday, March 11, 2015
After the release of her acoustic rendition of "I Bet" [Watch it: here], I awaitied with bated breath for the release of the actual video. Ciara, per usual, expresses her emotions through dance, and I am floored by the sheer intensity and the brilliance behind her movements. It's beautiful, classic, and inspiring, just as a pink music box with a dancing ballerina was for every little girl that owned one. It symbolized hope, freedom, and dreams coming into fruition. As she embarks on the painful journey of life without the father of her child, Ciara uses "I Bet" [Read the review: here] to lure us into her life and share a part of her with us. It's touching, raw, and the realest I've ever seen her. "I Bet" is the lead single for her upcoming album, "Jackie", named for her mother. I can't wait to see what else Ci has in store for us!

The Acoustic Sleigh Of Ciara With "I Bet"

  • Posted on Friday, January 30, 2015
COME TF THRU CI CI!!! I love the vocal growth that Ciara has experienced over the years. She is definitely taking her craft seriously and practicing. Her voice sounds like she actually gets vocal training not just relying on her "natural" talent to carry her through as though all of the singing won't take a toll on the quality of her sound like a lot of singers who need to take their asses to a coach. But *sips tea* keep doing your thing girl!

New Music: Ciara - "I Bet" (Prod By Harmony)

  • Posted on Wednesday, January 14, 2015
Well damn Ciara. Slay me. If you weren't ready before you better get TF ready for "Jackie", Ciara's upcoming sixth studio release, named after her mother, due out this Spring. This mid-tempo joint vibes so good it hurts.

I bet you start loving me/As soon as I start loving someone else/Somebody better than you/I bet you start needing me/As soon as you see me with someone else/Somebody other than you/And I know that it hurts/You know that it hurts your pride/But you thought the grass was greener on the other side/I bet you start loving me/As soon as I start loving someone else/Somebody better than you

 She better dammit SANG!
Who is dude with the unnecessary adlibs though?

Check out "I Bet" below:
