ICYMI: Acoustic EP: Ledisi - "The Intimate Truth"

Ledisi has just dropped her EP entitled, "The Intimate Truth", which offers seven tracks from her seventh album release, "The Truth", re-released and performed acoustically. If you've ever heard Ledisi sing then you know she has a game changing voice, there's no arguing that fact. However, this album isn't acoustic in the true sense of the word. The thing to love about an acoustic album is how the singer blends in effortlessly with the instruments, whether it's piano, guitar, percussion, and allows both their vocals and the instruments to shine. It's a beautiful sound. Ledisi, beautiful though her voice may be, overpowers the instruments on every track. She sleighs and hits every note and that is what we have come to expect but perhaps acoustic isn't her forte...but if you loved "The Truth" then  you most certainly will love this album as well. Ledisi's vocals are flawless, per usual.
