So I am absolutely befuddled at HOW I managed to let this EP slip through the cracks. Like where was I?!? I'm usually pretty up on new releases, especially if your music gives me life. So I don't know what happened. At any rate, I stumbled upon this lost treasure and it is a more than welcome edition to my Ariana Grande collection.
Check out this track-by-track review of "Love Me Harder (EP)":
1. "Love Me Harder"
Let me start off by saying never have I ever been here for The Weekend. He sounds like he's crying, like legit in tears. Not in the atrocious way that Future does but it's still not my cup of tea. I like this song though. It sounds like it belongs on the soundtrack of some cheesy 80s teen movie. And the guitar riff in the chorus gave me all the John Mayer flashbacks. And Ari just SLAYYYYYED this track acoustically and it was just OMG [Acoustic Review]...
2. "Cadillac Song"
Soft, sweet, and just vibes. Giving me all the tease of a 90s diva. I love it so. She doesn't hit any major notes though and I LIVE for that in a ballad so I'm lowkey disappointed but I mean honestly in what world can QUEEN Ari do any wrong?
3. "Too Close"
And in marches in the uptempo track. And it is PERF. I patiently listen to all of her songs with the expectation of her to hit a note and shatter my soul and she rarely disappoints.
Why is this EP only 3 tracks? Well...I guess we did get two albums in two years. I'll stop being greedy...
If you haven't heard her EP go check it out. The two new tracks are definitely worth a listen!
