Fresh off his "Soul Tape" series, Fabolous continued where he left off, and took matters back to the golden era of the 90's with his latest release "The Young OG Project". This album is a different sound than fans expect to hear from Fab if going off his previous official releases and the "Soul Tape" series alone. It'll definitely take a listen or two to become accustomed to it. But once that happens you'll realize every track on the project is worth a listen without the urge to utilize the skip button. Light on guest appearances (my kind of album!), he shows love to a couple of rappers from the golden era on a few of remixed 90s tracks such as Nas's"Represent" and "Oochie Wally" beat, and an interpretation of Tribe Called Quest's"Bonita Applebum". Overall you won't go wrong by listening to this album, and ultimately purchasing it.
